Mom

I want to write a blog about my wonderful mom. The day I got the news I was going to be on bed rest she bought a ticket and flew to Texas to help. She has been here for three weeks now. She has cooked and cleaned every day. She runs errands when needed, helps out with Jay and a lot more. She bosses me around to stay sitting down. Now that is a hard job. I don't like to sit or be bossed around. She keeps me under control. She is a very caring and loving mom. Jay is having a blast with her here. She is loving the time she spends with him. I know I am hard patient. I am very stubborn, OCD, hyper, etc. My mom has so many patience with me. My mom has a lot of responsibilities at home but she has decided to put her life on hold to help me out. This means more than I can ever tell her. She has been a wonderful support system. She has been to the ultrasounds for support. She heard the baby's heartbeat and saw it kicking. She will be there on the 6th to find out the sex. I am honored to share these special moments with her. Due to the distance, I am not able to share as much of my special  moments with her in person. We have tried to talk mom and dad into moving on our land in Texas. I doubt that will happen. Great idea though :). Thanks mom!! We appreciate your love and support!

Today I have been very emotional. I am sure it is a mixture of laying around all day and my hormones. I have not had time to cry and let out my emotions. I am so scared. I have been a little fussy with everyone in the house. I am just stressed. I can't take it out on them. Need to work on this.

I have an amniotic band in my placenta. The amniotic band can entangle around the baby. This could cause a number of different abnormalities. It can cause a limb to be amputated, cleft lip palate, club foot. It could cause more severe problems if it entangles around the baby's organs or neck. The band can break off and go away or never effect the baby. This is what we are praying for.

I have decided if my baby is born without a limb or abnormality I will be ok with that. That can be replaced. I just want the baby to be healthy. I pray for no brain or cognitive deficits. I work with special needs children and I have seen so many children with cognitive deficits, physical abnormailties, etc. I have children that will never know night from day, never cognitively grow beyond 3 months, never be able to speak or express their emotions. This breaks my heart.  Even though these children experience these difficulties I will never look or love them any less than a perfectly healthy child.

The baby has been kicking a lot today to bring happy thoughts. Every time I feel baby kick, the biggest smile comes across my face. The best feeling while pregnant! Come on June 6th so I can say boy or girl in my blogs. Fingers crossed for Neilee.:)

16 weeks

I am still on light bed rest.  I spoke to the doctor and he said I have to continue light bed rest until June 6th. We are suppose to find out the sex then. We tried at 15 weeks but the baby would not show us. :) My mom is going to stay until then. She has been so awesome. She has been very patient with me. I know I am not the easiest patient. I am a little OCD so I want someone to continue my OCD ways. However my mom is not OCD so I am having to get used to her ways. She does a great job keeping the house clean and cooks every night.  Jay is enjoying her company. Every morning he knocks on her bedroom door and screams NANA. He is her alarm clock. I feel bad because I know she is so tired at night. When I start to move around the house she tells me to sit down. She keeps me under control at times. I hope on the 6th we will have good news where I can relax a little more. Every little move I make, I wonder am I hurting the baby. The doctor told me not to research the amniotic band information. However I did. Of course I was a little freaked out. I am not going to focus on the scary things. Well try my hardest not to. :) Oh yeah on top of everything else Jay came home from daycare with hand foot and mouth virus. Guess who got it. ME! It is rare in adults but I would have been the one to get it. lol.....I am all better now. Great news!! Jay urinated in the toilet today. Well more outside the toilet. I made a sticker chart and put it next to the toilet.  My goal was to start potty training with him the beginning of June. I am not sure how to start but  I am going to give it my best try. He will be wearing underwear by the end of summer!!!

Doctor Update

I went to the doctor on Tuesday. I have to continue bed rest. He released me from work for the remainder of the school year.  My mom and husband are doing a wonderful job helping out. Good news is that baby is still healthy and the blood clot is going away. My placenta is also rising up which is good news. On the other had, I had a large cist and an amniotic band in in my placenta. The biggest concern now is the band. The doctor said he does not like to see these in the placenta, they are not suppose to be there. He told me not to research it because it will freak me out. I am not going to. I have enough stress already with the other issues. He said the band is thick which is better than a thin band. The worst that can happen is the he baby can grab the band and wrap itself in it. The doctor said he is concerned about it but that is very rare for the baby to wrap in it. He told me not to loose sleep over this. lol.... Easier said then done. WOW....... My first pregnancy was enjoyable with few worries. I continue to leave this in God's hand. I know he will protect us. Throughout my lifetime I feel I have been challenged to see how strong I am. I feel I am very strong because of my life experiences. Life has not been easy for me but I have learned a lot through the difficult times. I continue to do my best to think positive and act positive. At times I become weak but I am human. I am a mom who is scared of losing a child. While I was pregnant with Jay, I remember talking to him in my belly. Wondering how am I going to be able to show him so much love and joy. Everyone told me it will come natural. The second Jay was born I could not imagine loving anyone else the way I love him. I love Justin more than anything and always will. However the love a mom has for her child it unexplainable. Being pregnant with my second child and constantly wondering will he or be born healthy is so hard. I have not control at all. I have started feeling the baby kick so I am starting to develop a bond with baby. I am starting to talk to he or she. I say prayers with the baby that mom will protect he or she. Like I said earlier, all I can do is follow the doctor's orders and leave this is God's hands. God will take care of us.

Bed Rest

Day 3 of bed rest (15 weeks) . I have to admit this is very hard. I have a type A personality (very active, clean freak, and even a little OCD). Lying in a recliner is something I am having be very patient with. I look at it like this. Maybe I will learn how to relax a little more. I have to focus on the baby and not myself right now. I have noticed there is nothing on tv during the day. My current hobbies are cleaning, working out, and crafting. I need to pick up some new hobbies I can do while staying still. My problem is I am too hyper to sit down and read or sew. Well I have found a new hobby, EATING... However this is not a good one while lying still long. :) I am so thankful to have my mom from Georgia here for support. Justin and mom are helping out so much!  I should sit back and enjoy not doing anything. :) However it is hard with a two year old. They tell Jay mom has a booboo so be careful. Jay is doing a great job being careful with mom. While sitting here all these hours I try to focus on the positive not the negative. I know baby G and I will make it through this and have a healthy outcome. I believe I am feeling baby G kick. I feel like tiny kicks throughout the day. Especially when I am hungry. Baby likes to eat like mom.  Feeling baby move is the best feeling!! I continue to pray that God will guide us through this and provide us with a healthy life. The great new is that baby is doing great. He or she was kicking and punching like crazy during the ultrasound. Heartbeat was 141. The baby is completely healthy.

Today I went to the doctor due to minor spotting. I had this one day last week to and was told it was a bacteria infection. Today I saw my doctor and he put me on complete bed rest for this week, possibly the remainder of the school year. I have placenta previa and a small hemorrhage in my placenta. My mom is flying in from Georgia to help out. All I can do at this point is listen to the doctor's orders and pray. I pray all the time for a healthy baby and to keep myself healthy throughout the pregnancy. I have to trust that my prayers will be heard. If you are reading this, please take the time to say a special prayer for myself and Baby G.

I am pregos!!!!

I have been waiting to start this blog. I am very excited to announce I am pregos with baby #2.I am 14 weeks!  This has been a scary year.  I got pregnant in November and miscarried (second miscarriage). I thought to myself this is it. I found out I was pregnant in February. I thought I would not worry as much with my second. However due to my past I still worry all the time. If I feel a little pain I start to worry. All I can do it pray for a healthy baby and trust in God. I saw the baby moving and the heartbeat was 161. I have seen and heard the heartbeat twice. This is one of the most amazing sounds. The heartbeat and the first cry.
Of course I want a girl and Justin a boy. We have picked out names. Girl- Neilee Adelynn, boy- William Jase. I have the girls nursery all planned out in my head. If I have a girl, I will go all out. I feel like I am having a girl. Maybe it is because I want one so bad. I have not been sick. However I am hungry all the time!!! I was not like this with Jay. All I want to do is snack. Of course I am very tired. I already feel like I am sleep walking raising a 2 year old.:) I started to show at 8 weeks. I hid it at work but people started noticing my bump. It is sticking out pretty good now.
We are excited Jay and baby 2 will be 2 1/2 years apart. We know it is going to be very hard at first but look how fast Jay is growing up.I have told Jay but he doesn't get it. lol...I ask him where the baby is and he either points to my belly our breast.. lol.. I do feel he can sense something is different. I remember when I was first pregnant, he walked up to me out of the blue and touched my belly and said baby. I have heard sibling know. I am so ready to feel the baby move.  The doctor said I can find out in two weeks at 16 weeks the sex. I can't wait!!!!!!!!! These are pictures at 12 and 13 weeks. I will post new pics soon.
